Once known as the capital of the Republic of Dubrovnik, the city is today one of the highlights of a visit to Croatia. Thanks to its diverse cultural and historical monuments the city was put under the protection of UNESCO and is a living museum as well as a beautiful and relaxing place to visit. This ancient city surrounded by its huge walls, is characterized by its colourful churches, museums and small streets with restaurants and galleries. Take a cable car ride to the ridge above the city for spectacular views, walk the Old Town walls, stroll through the streets and museems, or relax with a cappuccino and watch the world go by in the old waterfront marina with boats departing to the nearby islands.
Sightseeing of the Old Town can be arranged (book in advance) or enjoy free time to explore independently.
